Immerse Your Toddlers in a World of Fun: Tailored Nurturing and Specialized Care Awaits!

Everything we do matters

Nurturing Your Child’s Growing Individuality

Our Toddlers class is filled with an abundance of energy and excitement! We reinforce your toddler’s natural desire to explore, turning every moment into an opportunity for learning and encouragement. During the year, we focus on routines while still emphasizing hands-on learning and play. With growing language, social, emotional, fine, and motor skills, these little ones are ready to put what they’ve learned to the test.

Toddlers make major strides in balance, coordination, and fine motor skills through various active experiences.

Start to develop basic self-help skills and begin to socialize by engaging in parallel play.

Sing songs, move to music, and learn self-expression by painting and drawing.

Learning Re-imagined

A Day in the Life at Lakeside Christian Academy

Every day we build the fundamental abilities needed for lifelong learning through activities that encourage problem solving, as well as cause-and-effect connections. Because learning best occurs in the context of relationships and responsive caregiving, we place intentional emphasis on social emotional development.

In this class,  we will also begin potty training with the support of parents in the home. We will partner with you to build a tailored training plan, and together foster independence and self-confidence in your toddler. Potty training is essential and an important milestone for our Toddlers class.

What curriculum does the school use?

Lakeside Christian Academy uses the Frog Street Curriculum for Infants through 4-years-old, as well as ABC Jesus Loves Me for our Bible Curriculum.

What hours is your school open?

Our Oakland location is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

How many teachers are CPR/First Aid certified?

Every single staff member at Lakeside Christian Academy is First Aid and CPR certified.

Do the children nap?

Absolutely! We believe that children under five years of age need adequate quiet time and/or rest as part of their daily routine. Our programs include quiet time for all our students.

Does the school provide lunch and/or snacks?

Lakeside Christian Academy provides Morning and Afternoon snacks. We ask that parents provide their child’s lunch.

Can my child eat breakfast at school?

Students who are enrolled in our Before Care program are allowed to eat their home-brought breakfast from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM.

How can I communicate with my child’s teacher?

The success of our program is based on establishing a partnership between our parents and staff. Open and frequent communication will help your child have a positive early learning experience. Teachers and Administrators welcome the opportunity to speak with parents. Drop off and pick up can be a busy time for our teachers. Therefore, we encourage you to make an appointment so that undivided attention may be given to you. Teachers will communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and milestones being reached through an app that connects parents and teachers by enabling digital daily reports, pictures, messages, and more.

When are students required to wear a uniform?

From age one. Children participate in various activities throughout the day, some of which are messy or athletic, and play outdoors daily, weather permitting. Because of this, it’s our policy that students must wear their Lakeside Christian Academy shirts from Monday to Friday. Additionally, no open-toed or open-backed shoes are allowed. The most appropriate shoes for participation in school activities are rubber-soled sneakers with socks.
